The farmer's loop reached print in 1912, when Professor Howard W. The tying method is a rhythm rather than a sequence of distinct moves: three turns around the open hand, then the middle turn lifted over the right, the new middle over the left, the new middle over the right again, and finally the new middle over the left and pulled well out to form the loop. How to tie the Farmer's Loop
- 1Wrap the rope around your open hand three times, letting both ends hang free.
