What this site collects directly

The contact form asks for a name, an email address, and a message, submitted only when you choose to send it — this data is used solely to respond to your message and is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing. No account system exists on TyingPoint, and no login or personal profile is required to use any part of the site, including the free tools.

Payments

The printable knot field cards product and the support-us donation option are both processed through Stripe. TyingPoint does not receive or store your card number, expiration date, or CVC — that information goes directly to Stripe, which handles it under its own privacy and security practices. We receive only the information necessary to fulfil an order (such as an email address for delivery) or acknowledge a donation.

Analytics

This site uses privacy-conscious analytics (Vercel Analytics and, where configured, Google Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are visited, roughly how, and from where — so the site can be improved over time. This data is aggregated and is not used to build an individual profile of any specific visitor tied to their real-world identity.

Cookies

Standard functional and analytics cookies may be set by the services above. No cookies here are used for cross-site advertising tracking, and disabling cookies in your browser will not prevent you from reading any knot page, task hub, activity hub, or comparison on the site — only the free client-side tools and analytics may be affected.

The three free tools

The knot picker, step player, and rope-length estimator all run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type, select, or calculate in any of them is transmitted to a server, logged, or stored anywhere — closing the browser tab clears it completely.

Third-party links

This site occasionally links to other sites, including a small, curated set of sister projects in the site footer. TyingPoint isn't responsible for the privacy practices of any external site you may click through to.
